Since conflict erupted in 2013, Love the Hungry has helped send five containers of humanitarian aid to South Sudan, including more than 100,000 Nutri-Plenty® meals that arrived in March. With the help of non-governmental partnerships – fortified meals, medical supplies and high-efficiency cookstoves have provided hope in the midst of famine. Louisville-based nonprofit WaterStep has donated water purification equipment and bleach making devices to the humanitarian mission.
More than 2 million children have been displaced by the conflict and many face chronic hunger. Love the Hungry has been providing daily meals for more than 900 orphaned children and your help is needed to sustain the mission. Due to the urgent needs, we’re preparing to send another container of aid in June. This shipment will include more than 200,000 Nutri-Plenty® meals, twelve high-efficiency cookstoves, and other supplies. To expedite delivery, an anonymous donor has offered to match up to $7,500 in donations designated for this shipment. 100% of the donations will be used to offset shipping costs.
