FFA volunteers from thirteen different States joined Love the Hungry during the FFA National Convention – packaging more than 102,000 Nutri-Plenty™ meals during the National Days of Service. A portion of the meals were distributed to Kentucky families through Feeding America-Kentucky’s Heartland. Meals are also being provided to a project benefiting malnourished children in Mali (West Africa).
October highlights also included a 24 hour Pack-A-Thon organized by volunteers in Grayson, Kentucky. The event produced more than 60,000 meals that will be delivered to Children’s Lifeline – Haiti. 770 volunteers participated in October packaging events – creating 206,418 Nutri-Plenty™ meals.
