150 Volunteers at two packaging sessions dedicated 90 minutes of service on MLK Day to produce more than 33,000 Nutri-Plenty™ meals. The Bardstown Rotary Club and student volunteers from local schools partnered for the fifth straight year at Bethlehem High School and The Temple hosted their fourth annual interfaith service project. A portion of the meals will benefit local families through Feeding America-Kentucky’s Heartland and The House of Ruth. More than 27,000 meals will be included in an upcoming shipment of medical aid to Mali, Africa.
Since 2013, volunteers have packaged 160,000 fortified meals during MLK Day service projects.
