Nutri-Plenty® meals most recently packaged by Love the Hungry volunteers are being shipped to and/or utilized in the following locations:
ETHIOPIA With assistance from SOS International, more than 70,000 fortified meals were provided to a refugee camp in Tigray, Ethiopia that is providing care for thousands of displaced children.
TURKEY / SYRIA In partnership with local nonprofits SOS International, WaterStep, Red Cross, and the UPS Foundation, 200,000 first-response medical items, 80 bleach-making kits, 800 wool blankets, and 70,000 fortified meals were provided in response to the February 6th earthquake.
SOUTH SUDAN 150,000 Nutri-Plenty servings were delivered to Juba, South Sudan to assist Nile Orphan Care in providing daily meals to several hundred orphaned children.
UKRAINE Love the Hungry continues to provide fortified meals to underserved areas of Ukraine with assistance from World of Connections, Operation Ukraine, Healing Hands International, SOS International and MAGNA International. More than 600,000 meals have either been delivered or committed to the humanitarian outreach. Most recently, LTH addressed an urgent need to help feed hundreds of orphaned children in Ivano Franksk, Ukraine, and meals were provided to hospitals in Vinnytsia.
GUATEMALA (Bethel Ministries International and Hearts in Motion) 85,000+ meals
MALAWI In partnership with SOS International, 42,000 fortified meals are being included as part of a disaster response shipment. Malawi has been impacted by a recent cyclone and widespread illness from a cholera outbreak.
LIBERIA (Trembo Association of America) 15,000 meals
CUBA (Selfless Community) 42,000 meals
MYRA, KENTUCKY Orphan Grain Train of Indiana delivered 15,000 Nutri-Plenty servings to the Manna from Heaven Food Pantry to assist families in eastern Kentucky. Another 30,000 meals were donated to Orphan Grain Train in September 2023.
NIGERIA Kids of Tomorrow Foundation Hospital and Wellness Center 15,000 Nutri-Plenty meals
CHAD Local nonprofit partner SOS helped deliver a sampling of Nutri-Plenty meals that will be tested by a clinic serving the needs of unhealthy children.
